“The best part of being out here is seeing the animals!”

THREE SEASONS OF TOURING OFFERS A VARIETY OR KAYAK TOUR EXPERIENCES
Spring (April – June)
The most unique, busiest (with Animals) and peaceful (Less people/boats out) time of the year!
Unique because the elevated water levels create some seasonal route options that you wont get at other time of year. This includes kayaking through forested areas (a uniquely cool experience).
Busiest because the animals come out of hibernation or migrate back north so there’s more to see in the spring then any other time of the year.
Peaceful because there are fewer people out on the water this time of year.
Summer (June – September)
The most popular time of year to kayak.
The best possible weather, plenty of potential for wildlife sightings, longer days, and later tours.
Due to the growth of water vegetation into the summer combined with traditionally lower water levels than spring and fall, summer tours are much more straight forward regarding route options.
Fall (September – November)
The fall colors are breathtaking and make for great photo opts. Might need to dress a little warmer and except to see less animals the later it gets in the season.
There is the chance to see migratory birds passing south that you would normally not see.
